pricing....

The cost of engraving your firearm, knife, or other object is dependant upon many factors; some of which are the complexity of the design, the amount of coverage, and most importantly, the properties of the source material itself. Prior to starting, we will speak at length concerning the scope and design of our particular project. Only after we are clear on what you want to see done, we will begin the project. All work requires a payment of one-half of the agreed upon price up front to act as a down payment. Once the project is completed, full payment plus reasonable shipping fees must be received prior to returning your item to you.

The examples in my photo gallery are merely that; examples and the costs associated with duplicating the amount of work on the same source material are estimates only. I have provided some general guidelines for pricing below.

Level A:    25 to 45% coverage   $250 - $499
Level B:    50 to 75% coverage   $500 - $749

Level C:    80 to 100% coverage   $750 - $1500

Understand, the above pricing is only a guideline, and the costs associated with your particular project may vary. Price will be firmly agreed upon by both prior to any work commencement.

The firearm may be engraved on the original finish as in "stainless steel" or "in the blue" on a blued firearm. I can not engrave on real "bone case hardened material" nor "plated metal" such as nickel plating or silver plating. Preferably, the finish will be removed and the engraving completed on the unfinished metal. In al cases, the firearm must be disassembled prior to engraving. This process includes removing the barrel and all internal parts. I can accomplish this or you can. I charge for this service and my schedule is listed below.

Disassembly, Reassembly, and Regulate to "point of aim" POA
Ruger Blackhawk / Vaquero ( old or new )   $75.00
Colt / Colt Clone   $100.00
Rifle ( Winchester / Win. Clone )   $ 125.00
Other firearms   Price upon Request

For those customers who wish to have their project re-finished, I have access to a superior gunsmith who performs a hot-bath blue that is very pleasing and serviceable. You can see an example of his work by looking at my 100% coverage section under "Possum Creek Bill". For those who want their firearm "plated" I can recommend some reputable businesses that perform that service. I am a current FFL (Federal Firearms License holder) and can accept via UPS or FED-EX shipment direct from the customer along with a copy of your operator's license.
